Permanence is pose-able. Permanence is disposable. Not transposable.
Differentiating between meaning/identity/information might just be semantics. Right now it seems essential but I might work through that.
The definitive essay on meaning, identity and information, save for any outside research into precedent and any contemporary collaboration, until the second edition.
Meaning is the mediating factor that allows information to contribute to identity. This essay will describe types of information that contribute to identity. It will show that differences in meaning impact identity even as the information harnessing that meaning remains unchanged.* It will define the role of those people and/or cultural phenomena and/or natural (psychological) phenomena curating our information, the things that add meaning to information on its way to forming our personal identities. It seeks to prove or disprove the meaninglessness of all information by describing information as a vessel for meaning. After depicting the needless limitations and possibly-meaningless basis of self-identity it will propose the invalidity of all observations reliant on an observer. It will go on to hypothesize the potential for individuals operating outside of self-identity to advance science and art. It will question the empirical truth of cause and effect. It will speak against the absolution of the scientific method. It will posit the roles of perception and intention in memory and portray perception and intention as indistinguishable.
It will explode neuroscience/ philosophy/ physics. It will beg recognition of the existence of sensory methods that are beyond current understanding because they provide sensory input outside of interpretation. It will reconstruct the energy of contemporary cultural and environmental turmoil into an obvious new beginning for consciousness. And it will cause the reader to slip outside of reality.
It will take the form of a massive poem with subjects ranging from rusty petri
dishes to self-mutilation to that movie Memento within the first 500 words.
It will make MIT jealous. It will lead to a record deal.
